Fantastic agent to work with when buying or selling
We bought a property through Hayden and had no hesitation in listing our property with him when it came time to sell. Once again he went above and beyond both with assisting us to get it market ready and working hard to market it with a great result. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Complete honesty, transparency and responsive communication.

Fantastic service from first appraisal to handover
Hayden was amazing to work with from providing us that first appraisal right through to handover date. Having never used an agent previously, Hayden was so approachable and professional while genuinely being committed to getting us the best possible result. His communication was second to none, always touching base with us before and after every open home giving us feedback from each prospective buyer and even providing us with leads of possible clients wanting to build with us in the future.

Buyer
Buying or selling a home in Christchurch is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make. Below are honest answers to the questions I’m asked most often, covering fees, timelines, suburbs, and how the process actually works.
The median time to sell a home in Christchurch is currently around 46 days from listing to unconditional sale, according to the latest REINZ figures. Well-presented homes in popular suburbs often go in two to three weeks. Unique properties or higher price brackets can take longer. Pricing and presentation make the biggest difference.
It depends on your priorities. For families, Halswell and Wigram are popular for newer homes, good amenities, and strong demand, while Cashmere appeals more to buyers wanting a premium lifestyle location. For first-home buyers, Hornby and Linwood are common entry-level choices, and Aranui can offer lower prices but needs a careful street-by-street check. For lifestyle and long-term value, Fendalton, Merivale, and Cashmere remain among Christchurch’s most desirable suburbs.
I work across all of greater Christchurch, with strong recent sales in [your top suburbs, e.g. Fendalton, Merivale, Cashmere, Halswell, Riccarton, and Sumner]. Local knowledge matters: I know the schools, the commute times, the flood and TC zones, and what buyers in each pocket are actually paying. If your suburb isn’t listed, get in touch and I’ll let you know if I’m the right fit.
I handle residential sales across the full Christchurch market: standalone homes, townhouses, units, apartments, lifestyle blocks on the city fringe, and new builds. Most of my work is owner-occupier sales between $600k and $2M, but I take on investment properties and higher-end listings too. If you have something unusual, get in touch and we can talk it through.
A buyer’s agent works for you, not the seller, and handles the search, shortlisting, due diligence, and negotiation on your behalf. It’s worth considering if you’re time-poor, buying from out of town, or shopping above the $1M mark where negotiation savings often cover the fee. For straightforward purchases under the median, most buyers manage well on their own. I offer buyer’s agent services if you’d like a hand.
Every campaign is tailored to the property, but the core mix is professional photography, a Trade Me Property premium listing, realestate.co.nz, social media targeting local buyers, a dedicated property page, and signage. For higher-value homes I add drone footage, video walkthroughs, and print where it makes sense. You’ll get a written marketing plan before any spend is approved.
